Mr. Yona S. Killagane
The team is led by Mr. Yona S. Killagane, the Board Chairman, a professional qualified accountant with ACCA acquired from London UK in 1975, and M.Sc. (Financial Management) from University of Stratchclyde, Scotland, UK in 1979. Mr. Killagane was the Managing Director of Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) for 23 years. He managed TPDC as National Oil Company through various phases of challenges and successes on exploration and development programmes that led to its fame of gas production in the country, deep offshore gas discoveries, midstream and downstream operations before his retirement in civil service in 2014. Mr. Killagane has been a trainer and consultant in financial and managerial solutions to several private and public sector companies.
Mr. Kelvin R. Komba
The Managing Director with ENAC, is an experienced Exploration Geophysicist with over 30 years in the Petroleum Industry. He acquired his Master’s Degree at the University of Leeds in UK in 1995. He participated in various phases of petroleum exploration programs of sedimentary basins of Tanzania including programs that led to commercial gas discoveries of deep offshore part, Southeastern Tanzania. He was the Director of Exploration and Production of TPDC for 9 years before his retirement from civil service in September 2023.
Dr. Wellington E. Hudson
A Director for ENAC, is an experienced Petroleum Geologist with over 30 years in the Petroleum Industry. He acquired his PhD in Petroleum Exploration at Trinity College, University of Dublin in Ireland in 2012, focusing on the geological evolution of the East Coast Tanzania. He served the TPDC upstream department as an exploration geoscientist to senior positions and has participated in various phases of exploration programs of sedimentary basins of Tanzania including programs that led to commercial gas discoveries of onshore and deep offshore Tanzania. He later served as the Director of Corporate Strategy and Planning for 1 year and afterwards the Director of Downstream Operations in TPDC for 9 years before his retirement from civil service in August 2023
Ms. Karima A. Alawiy
A Company Secretary for ENAC, a lawyer by profession, is well versed on the Legal and Business environment of Zanzibar and the United Republic of Tanzania.
Mr. Omar Z. Burhan
A Director for ENAC, is an experienced Marketer with extensive experience in downstream operations acquired through working for the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar and TPDC. He worked in the area of marketing and importation of both crude oil and refined products for the consumption of Tanzania and the neighboring countries. From 1976 to 1993 he worked for the revolutionary Government of Zanzibar and from 1993 to 2002 he worked for TPDC. He further gained experience through working for the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar from 2002 to 2018 before his retirement from civil service in February 2018
